Age Requirements

Community Education classes are designed for adult students, unless otherwise indicated in the class description. CNA students can participate at age 16. Please do not bring children to class or leave them unattended.

Accessibility

Computer and Network Policy

Students using computers and the Internet must adhere to the Billings School District technology use policy 3205.

Complaint Policy

Any complaint regarding district non-compliance with state or federally-funded program regulations or possible discrimination should be reported to the Adult and Community Education Director immediately. Although we strive for accuracy, our class dates, locations, and times are subject to change.

Discounts

Veterans and individuals aged 60 and above receive a 10% discount. If the discount doesn’t appear in your online cart, please email our office at communityed@billingsschools.org.

Location

Courses are held at the Billings Lincoln Center, located at 415 N. 30th Street, Billings, MT 59101, unless otherwise stated.

How do I create a new user account?

In order to register for courses online, you must have an account with Community Education. Creating an account also gives you online access to view your registration history, change your address and more.

You can go to our Sign up page to create a new account.

Note: you must have an email address to set up an account with us.

What courses do you currently offer?

Select one of the Lookup Courses links (in the left navigation bar) to see the list of courses we currently offer.

Pre-Requisites

Many classes have prerequisites. Please read the full class description at billingsaced.org before registering to ensure you meet the minimum requirements.

How do I register for a course?

To register for a course:

  1. Look Up Course - look up the course you want to enroll in on our Course Listing page.
  2. Add to Cart - click the Enroll Yourself button to start the registration process.
  3. Logon - log on to the system. Note: if you're already logged on, this step will be skipped.
  4. Select Course Options - select the course fee options (i.e. select registration fee, add optional fees), and enter additional information requested, if any (i.e. t-shirt size, etc.).
  5. Add More Courses - if you are enrolling in other courses, click the Enroll in Another Course button and repeat steps 1, 2, and 4. Otherwise, continue to step 6.
  6. Proceed to Checkout - once you have added all the desired courses to your Enrollment Cart, click the Proceed to Checkout button to continue the registration process.
  7. Make Payment - edit your personal information if necessary then click the Payment Service button to continue on to our Payment Service to make your payment.
  8. Registration Confirmed - when you are finished with the payment process, the Transaction Completed page is displayed notifying you that you are enrolled in the course(s). A confirmation email with the registration specifics is also sent to your email address. At this time, you can safely log off the system.

Textbooks

If your class requires a textbook, payment is due upon registration. The textbook will be delivered to you in the classroom during the first class. If you register late, your textbook may not be available on the first day of class. Online students must pick up their books at the Lincoln Center Room 107.

Which methods of payment do you accept online?

We accept all major credit cards. Payment is due at the time of registration. The fee listed is per person, per session.

Registration Confirmation

Online registrations are confirmed immediately upon receipt of your submission. Other registration methods are not confirmed unless requested. Please plan to attend your first-choice class unless our staff has notified you otherwise.

Refund Policy

Billings Community Education is dedicated to offering affordable and flexible training opportunities to the community. We can only offer classes once we have met the minimum registration requirements to cover our financial obligations. Students will receive a full refund if they cancel their enrollment at least seven (7) business days before the class start date.

What is the cancellation policy if I am unable to attend?

Billings Community Education strives to provide affordable and flexible training for all ages in the community. We are able to offer classes once we have met the minimum registrations to meet our financial obligations. Class fees are refundable in the event the class is canceled due to low enrollment. A student will receive a full refund if he or she cancels their enrollment three (3) business days before the class start date. A 5% processing fee will be charged if the student cancels their enrollment less than three (3) business days prior to class start date. No refund will be given if the student cancels their enrollment on or after the class start date. If an emergency arises and the student is forced to cancel or postpone their enrollment in the class, please call 281-5010 as the student may be eligible for a refund.

How do I cancel a registration?

You cannot cancel a registration online. To cancel a registration, you must contact:

How can I find out what courses I'm registered in?

To see a list of courses in which you are enrolled, visit the Registration History page then click the appropriate button:

  • Upcoming Courses - view a list of your upcoming courses with dates and location
  • Completed Courses - view a list of completed courses with the hours and grades earned

What do I do if I've lost my password?

You can request a Password Reset email.

The email will be sent to the email address listed in your account. If you no longer have access to that email address, please contact us at 406-281-5010 or communityed@billingsschools.org to restore your account.

Smoking / Vaping Policy

All school campuses are tobacco and vape-free. Community Education students, faculty, and visitors must leave school property to use tobacco or vaping products.
